Police to place TP order after 20 years
By Nicole A. Debevec

Police in Hagfors in western Sweden may experience sticker shock when they purchase toilet paper; after all, the last time they bought some was 20 years ago.

Someone mismarked an invoice -- checking pallets, not packets -- resulting in a mountains of paper products and plastic bags being delivered to the police station back in March 1986, The Local said.

The station chief back then opted to accept the delivery rather than complete the paperwork to return it. It took the better part of a day to unload it, said current station chief Bjorn Fredlund.

"We filled 12 garages with it all, as well as all other available spaces," Fredlund said.

The exact amount of TP is unknown, but Fredlund said he was told there were 550,000 paper towels and 3 million plastic bags.

The toilet paper held up well over the years, Fredlund said. The final roll was emptied last week.

"It was single sheet," Fredlund said, "and double would have been nice, but overall it was fine."
ahh... the joys of policing...helping those in need and not only ordering toilet paper, but using single sheet TP for 20 years!!! single sheet...imagine the sacrifice!! the original article can be read here...sure proof of the very large entertainment potential of the daily news (one which chiboa is happily exploiting)!!

DISCLAIMER: The usual disclaimers apply...United Press International & Nicole A. Debevec own the article, chiboa is just takin' it out to play with cuz it's fun to read.
