EURO blues

a few months ago (in november 2006), we were confronted with german 50 euro notes that disintegrate when they come into contact with human sweat. traces of cocaine were partially blamed for this chemical reaction.
a month later, spanish euro notes were found to contain traces of cocaine as well.
now, roughly two months on, we are told that ALL irish euro notes actually showed traces of cocaine.
is it me, or is there some rather disconcerting common denominator here?
